Shut Your Big Yap!
While
Obama finds it almost impossible to speak
without a teleprompter, his hand-picked partner has trouble keeping his mouth
shut with or without a teleprompter. Joe Biden is known for his verbal gaffes
through out his lackluster career. Last week was no exception. Biden was attending
the Gridiron Dinner when he told his dinner companions about the secret vice presidential
bunker.
Biden was at the event due to the fact that Obama had skipped it. Obama
is only the second president to miss the Gridiron Dinner since Grover Cleveland.
Obama doesn't attend anything that isn't politically advantageous to him. Obama
now probably regrets letting Joe Biden loose with a room full of reporters.
According
to Eleanor Clift, Newsweek's Washington contributing editor, Biden revealed the
exact location of the bunker designed to save a vice president's life. This is
the bunker that Vice President Dick Cheney used after the attacks of 9-11.
On
her blog, Clift wrote that, "(Biden) said a young naval officer giving him
a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel
door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with
shelves filled with communications equipment. The officer explained that when
Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed,
an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn't be surprised
that the policies that emerged were off the wall."
Biden's handlers tried
to spin this as inaccurate, but the damage had already been done. Biden is just
as incompetent as Obama; he's just unable to keep quiet about it.
