When Liberal Worlds Collide
It
seems like every other day someone is either fired or resigns from both Hillary
and Obama's campaigns for saying the wrong thing. While Bill Clinton can't be
fired or resign, he certainly has disappeared for his
racist remarks. Now, Geraldine Ferraro's comments, while not racist, caused
the same backlash.
In an interview, Ferraro said, "If Obama was a white
man, he would not be in this position." The democrats' problem with her statement
is that she basically said that Obama is where he is because of liberal policies
such as Affirmative Action. She could have said the same about Hillary Clinton
by saying, "If Hillary were a man, she would not be in this position."
The
reality of Obama is that he is a mediocre politician. The fact that he speaks
well and is black has attracted the liberal media's attention. Much the same way
Rush Limbaugh was fired from his gig at ESPN for commenting that NFL quarterback
Donovan McNabb, a mediocre quarterback, was getting attention from the liberal
media simply because he was black.
Herein lies the hypocrisy of the left. They
want women and minorities (women are a majority, by the way) to have an extra
edge over white males. Any time a woman or a non-white person shows some promise,
they become the darlings of the liberal media. Unfortunately, the liberals have
added caused society to add an asterisk to any such candidate.
Liberals have
already assumed that women and minorities have no chance of succeeding without
the aid of welfare and Affirmative Action. When one does rise without such assistance,
such as Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas did, the liberals do everything
in their power to block that success. Without women and minorities being kept
dependent on entitlement programs, the democrats would be out of power.
So,
now the liberals have two candidates, a white woman and a black man. Nothing wrong
or spectacular about that. The problem for the democrats is that it divides their
party, something to which they are not accustomed. With both candidates' campaigns
accusing each other of racism and sexism, it is really funny to watch.
In an
attempt to unite the party and save therefore her own political life, Hillary
proposed that Obama be her running mate. Obama quickly declined, asking why should
the number one candidate be number two on the ticket. A liberal must wonder how
Hillary could be telling a black man to go to the back of the political bus.
Obama
is not immune from being associated with racism. A DVD surfaced with Obama's pastor
and spiritual guide, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Rev. Wright is seen and heard
blaming the US for the 9/11 terrorist attack, ranting about "rich white people,"
using the "N" word and saying, not once, not twice, but three times,
"God Damn America!"
Since the discovery of Wright's racist, anti-American
beliefs, Obama has had to distance himself from his "spiritual leader."
Unbelievably, Obama claims that he never heard Wright's radical views in the 20
years of Sundays he spent in the pastor's church.
If the liberal leaders themselves
are racist and sexist or at least surround themselves with people that have these
beliefs, how can they ever hope to achieve equality in America?
The truth is,
liberals are actually the most racist and sexist people in our society. That's
why they can't understand that women and minorities don't need entitlements to
make it in this world. The democrats prey upon the ignorance and guilt of liberals
to advance their agenda of keeping themselves in power by keeping others dependent
upon them.
