Obama Creates His Own Controversy
He's
not doing so well in the polls. The anointed one thought it was going to be a
cake walk to the White House. He's run into two roadblocks. The first one was
Hillary and the second is John McCain and Sarah Palin.
With Hillary, they both
used the race card against each other. Obama played victim a bit about his heritage
and religion. In the end, Obama finally defeated Hillary for the nomination by
the democrats.
For some reason, Mr. Change saw Joe Biden, who embodies anything
but change, as the perfect running mate. This started Obama's slide in the polls.
Next,
he gets no bounce from the democrat convention. Then McCain makes the surprise
announcement of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Obama, Biden and the
rest of the democrats and liberal media unleash one of the harshest political
and personal attacks in political history against Palin. The result is that Obama
falls further in the polls.
Today, McCain/Palin have a 10 point lead (54% to
44%) among likely voters. The tracking poll among registered voters remains McCain/Palin
in the lead with a 46% to 44%. This was even during the democrats' convention.
Obama's
internal polling shows that many Americans think he is a Muslim, unpatriotic and
racist. Obama has blamed this on McCain and Palin. However, McCain and Palin have
said nothing of the sort. Obama only needs to look in the mirror to find the reason
for these perceptions.
When you constantly refer to your own name as funny and
refuse to let anyone use your middle name, Hussein, many people are going to think
you're a Muslim.
When you state there are 57 states in America rather than the
true number of 50 and there are in fact 57 states of Islam, many people are going
to think you're a Muslim.
When you attend a racist church led by a racist reverend
Wright who you call you spiritual leader, many people are going to think you're
a racist.
When your wife states (repeatedly) during campaign speeches that this
is the first time in her life that she's been proud of America, many people are
going to doubt your patriotism.
When you refuse to wear an American flag lapel
pin, many people are going to think you're unpatriotic.
When you refuse to admit
that we have achieved a virtual victory in Iraq due to the Surge, many people
are going to think you are anti-American.
When you say that you're going to
disarm America's nuclear defense system, many people are going to think that you
are anti-American.
When you claim that the average American clings to their
guns and religion as if they are some sort of superstition, then many people are
going to think that you are un-American.
When you're against the Second Amendment,
many people are going to think that you are anti-American.
When you associate
with convicted felons and terrorists, many people are going to think that you
are anti-American.
All of these things and much more were all due to the Obamas'
actions and statements. None of these are attributable to McCain/Palin.
So,
we all now have to wonder why Obama protests so much about his patriotism. Only
he and his fellow democrats have questioned it.
