A California Quake - No More Taxes!
California
held a special election that had six propositions on the ballot. Five of them
were to raise taxes and one was to freeze legislators' pay in times of a deficit.
By more than a two to one margin, Californians rejected all five of the tax increases
and a whopping 75% told legislators that they don't get another raise as long
as there is a deficit.
Republican traitor, "Benedict" Arnold Schwarzenegger,
the democrat governor masquerading as a Republican, championed Proposition 1A.
Schwarzenegger, who won the governorship when Californians recalled democrat Gray
Davis, had promised sweeping changes that would cut spending and lower taxes.
Instead, he signed virtually every spending bill put in front of him by the state's
democrat-controlled legislature. Recently, this included raising the state's sales
tax and doubling the fees to register a new vehicle.
Not one county in the Golden
State passed any of the propositions that would have increased taxes. Not even
in Nancy Pelosi's liberal home district of San Francisco. The special election
put the exclamation point on the Tea Parties
of April 15th. Much to the chagrin of traitor Colin Powell who claimed that Americans
want bigger government and want higher taxes, Californians have started a tax
revolt juggernaut that could sweep the nation.
Almost all of the liberal media
vented their anger at the California voters. The only two major newspapers in
California that were against the new taxes were the Orange County Register and
the San Diego Union Tribune. The rest were upset that California, a "blue,
democrat" state rejected the tax-and-spend policies of Obama and the democrats.
The
media tried to spin this as only a minority of voters going to the polls. The
dirty little secret is that the liberals internal polling showed these propositions
to increase taxes were going to go down in flames. They stopped their advertising,
which out spent the anti-tax conservatives by 10 to 1. They knew that the more
people who showed up at the polls the worse the defeat would be. This special
election was the best kept political secret in recent memory.
In recent months,
California has lost thousands of businesses due to its democrat anti-business
climate. The productive members of society are fleeing the state and taking tax
revenue opportunities with them. New York is also experiencing the same phenomena.
This
is bad news for the democrats. With spineless leadership from Obama the inept
one and liars like Nancy Pelosi, America may experience a tsunami of revolt in
the national elections of 2010 that will dwarf the democrats' success of 2006.
The
economy hummed along until the democrats took over both houses of congress in
2006. They created the economic turmoil that has destroyed the American economy
for the sole purpose of having an issue that could propel radical liberal Barack
Hussein Obama into the highest office of the land by blaming pain and suffering
on George W Bush and associating all Republicans with it.
However, the democrats
have discovered that they have created an economic mess that they have no way
of repairing due to their incompetence and greed. They blamed overspending as
the root cause and they have attempted to cure it by spending more in the first
100 days of Obama's socialist government than has been spent in all of the past
administrations combined!
Americans have had enough. If the democrats thought
that the Tea Parties were just a fluke, they are now looking at California and
realize it's just the tip of the iceberg and a microcosm of the entire country.
