Spinning the Spin
Since
before 2006, Obama and the democrats have been pounding the public with the message
that the economy is in trouble. Even though it wasn't, they and the liberal media
got the public to believe the doom and gloom. The self-fulfilling prophecy finally
took hold and the democrats seized power of both houses in 2006, but they weren't
finished.
The democrats still had their eye on the White House. With control
of congress, they continued with their lies and at the same time, used their policies
to cripple the US economy while looting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
They
tried to do the same with the war on terror in Iraq. However, the military follows
orders and reality, not liberal spin. The Surge worked despite the predictions
of those such as Harry Reid, who said, "The war is lost."
At home,
the economy buckled under the spineless leadership of the democrats. Their goal
was to create an economy that would tar-and-feather George W Bush. It was so bad,
that some voters didn't even know that George Bush wasn't a candidate. Obama won
a slim majority of votes by saying he could fix the economy.
After Obama
won the election, the stock market fell by three thousand points. Last week was
the best week since Obama had been elected. The reason was it was the first week
that didn't having any spending bills pending and Obama had been quiet. He even
signed the half billion dollar Omnibus Bill in private.
Now, all of a sudden,
Obama says the economy isn't so bad. Things are going to get better. He even trots
out his pick for the National Economic Council, Lawrence
Summers. Good old Larry is another has-been from the failed Clinton administration.
He tells us that the economy Obama inherited...Aren't we just a bit tired of that
lame excuse? The "economy we inherited;" no, it's the economy that Obama
and the democrats created. Hey, Larry, let's remind you that Obama was a US senator
and was one of the members of congress that created this economy. You know, the
one he was elected to fix.
Anyway, Summers tells us it is fear that is driving
this economy. No kidding, Larry, really? Larry, it's your boss, Obama, who keeps
lying and saying it's the worst economy since the Great Depression. It's not even
as bad as the Misery Index left by Jimmy Carter's failed administration. Then
Summers said that this process of greed stops and reverses. Larry, it's your party
that is greedy and it has never showed any signs of slowing.
Summers said
that more than anything, the economy needs confidence and optimism. That's true,
Larry, but Obama and the rest of the democrats are unable to spin themselves out
of the reality they have created. There is no one left to blame and things keep
getting worse. The obvious answer to restore confidence and optimism is to throw
the democrats out of office.
The fact is that the economy would have already
recovered had the democrats not been in such a rush to "fix" what wasn't
broken. Instead, they have piled on more debt in two months that all of the debt
ever created since the birth of this nation up to the election of Obama. Once
this massive spending takes hold, the real trouble will begin. Obama can spin
all he wants, but like the Titanic, the US economy has hit the democrat ice berg
and will slowly sink to bottom. Obama, you're now the captain of a vessel you
have doomed and you're going down with the ship, unless the passengers throw you
overboard first.
