PETA - Does Anyone Take Them Seriously?
PETA, the people for the ethical treatment of animals, has written a letter to the Associated Press requesting that the news organization give animals similar personal pronouns such as "he" and "she" rather than the conventional "it."

There's no telling what the left-leaning AP will do. However, let's hope that they have thought about the repercussions.

For instance, if the dog's name is "Charlie," will they demand that "he" will be called "Mr. Charlie?" How does PETA know that the animal will want the designation of its sexual orientation? Surely there must be gay and lesbian animals as well as transgendered ones. How arrogant of PETA to decide this for the animals of the world! Is Fido a male name or a female name? Will pets need to register a last name?

PETA is the epitome of a left-wing, whacko organization on the same level as Greenpeace, NOW, the Rainbow Coalition, the ACLU, NAACP, Vegans and the democrats as a whole. Stupidity, compounded by ignorance and a lack of common sense, brings all of these lunatics together. Many of their members belong to several of these fringe groups, making their overall memberships actually much smaller than they already are.

What's the matter, has PETA run out of blood to spatter on people?
