Pelosi's Head About to Implode from Its Vacuum
After
democrats got their political clocks cleaned last Tuesday, democrat Nancy Pelosi
actually went on TV and called it a win for her party. Pelosi reasoned that because
they had retained a congressional seat in California and won a seat in New York's
23rd district, that she now had two more votes for her already failed healthcare
bill. What she failed to realize or at least admit was that she lost votes from
democrats in congress who are up for reelection in 2010. When the two congressional
races she cited as wins are examined more closely, it's clear that Pelosi and
the democrats are in deep trouble and will most likely be swept from power next
year.
In Pelosi's home state of California, John Garamendi, a career democrat
politician for 35 years, won a special election in the liberal Bay Area's 10th
district. Garamendi was able to capture 56 percent of the vote. However, the district
has 20 percent more registered democrats. So, the seat that was previously in
democrats' hands is still in democrats' hands. How Pelosi counts this as a new
vote for her healthcare scam is unclear.
In New York's 23rd district, it was
even more shocking. For some reason, the local Republican party officials decided
to run Dede Scozzafava. Scozzafava is a RINO (Republican in name only) She has
absolutely no conservative values and was undistinguishable from her democrat
opponent Bill Owens. Another contender for the seat was the Conservative Party's
Doug Hoffman. Hoffman was completely unknown and has never run for anything in
his life. When polling data before the election made it clear that Hoffman was
favored over Scozzafava, Scozzafava dropped out of the race and then had the audacity
to endorse Owens. Owens won, but Hoffman still got 45% of the vote. Hell, Scozzafava,
who had dropped out of the race, still got 6%. So, Owens' "victory"
was really a close call.
Now, after the smack-downs the democrats received in
Virginia and their stronghold of New Jersey in the gubernatorial races, congressional
and senate democrats in so-called "red states" that are up for reelection
in 2010 are not going to vote for this healthcare scam. They know it's a bad bill.
The vast majority of Americans are against it and that number grows every day
and every time Obama opens his ignorant mouth to promote it. They saw what happened
in Virginia and New Jersey. Why should they vote for a bill that will guarantee
them to be thrown out of office?
Hey, Nancy, the next time you go in for more
cosmetic surgery, ask the doctor to fill the vacuum between your ears with more
sap. Then, close your mouth so it doesn't leak out, again.
