No Change, Same Old Democrat Partisan Politics
Obama
had promised to be the great unifier, the one to cross party lines and bring the
country together. Obama promised Republican input to the bailout bill. After the
Republicans complained that their input was not considered, Obama's response was,
"I won." In other words, it's his game and his rules.
The result was
a bill that was a barrel full of nothing but pork. Written by democrats and only
democrats, the bill was just $819 Billion of entitlements; just welfare.
None of it will stimulate the economy, at least not in a positive direction. It
was more like handing a ton of bricks to a drowning man.
The
inept one, Obama, appeared to be in shock when not a single Republican voted for
this recipe for economic disaster concocted largely by Nancy Pelosi. To add insult
to injury, eleven democrats voted against the bill. So, any bipartisanship was
to vote against the bill.
This leaves Barack holding a bag of democrat stench.
His only hope is to have some Republican support in the senate's version of this
tripe. The most moderate Republican, John McCain, was interviewed and basically
said forget about it. The democrats can push this through with their majority
and they can have all the credit for its failure.
Republicans haven't been so
united since the Contract with America that brought about the Republican Revolution
in 1994. It took the democrats twelve years to regain control of congress and
in two short years they destroyed the American economy.
Obama's inexperience
and impotence has been revealed to all. Best of all, it has shown the American
people that the democrats are nothing but tax and spend liberals. Unfortunately,
there will be a lot of pain and suffering before the public will eventually rise
up and drag these socialists from office. Democrats are betting that they will
have made the majority of voters dependent on them before that happens.
It's
clear that Obama's ineptness surpasses that of Jimmy Carter and his disrespect
for the Constitution exceeds that of the Clintons. Look for many of your freedoms
to be eroded in the next few months. Is it any wonder why gun sales are up 48%
since Obama lied his way into office?
