Liberal Media Omits Important Facts
The
liberal media is quick to report on tragedies such as the Columbine Massacre,
the Westroads Mall in Omaha and the Trolley Square Mall in Utah.
They're quick
to give you the body count, the type of weapons used, the type and amount of ammunition,
the background on the killers and more. However, they leave out an important detail.
These
massacres and others like them were committed in "gun free" zones. In
other words, even though it may be legal in the city and state where the shootings
took place, the specific locations forbid the possession of firearms.
So,
what did these "gun free" zones insure? Did they protect the innocent
people killed and injured? No. They insured that the law abiding victims were
unarmed. Much like the armed robberies of Florida tourists pulled over in their
rented cars leaving the airport. The robbers and murderers knew that the victims,
coming from the airport, would be unarmed.
The liberal media always fails
to mention this fact in their reporting. They want to drum up emotional outrage
and cause people to have knee-jerk reactions. They want to advance the liberal
agenda of disarming the law abiding citizen.
The Trolley Square Mall incident
in Utah had an interesting twist. Although, it was illegal to enter with a firearm,
an off-duty police officers broke the law and entered with his concealed weapon.
He was able to stop the gunman before more were killed.
The fact is that
these mass killers almost always choose a "shooting fish in the barrel"
atmosphere for their target locations. If they thought that the victims would
shoot back, it is doubtful they would attempt their crimes.
Looking at these
"gun free" zones, it becomes quite obvious that the only ones free of
guns are the victims. As a matter of fact, anywhere there is gun control, the
rate of violent crime rises. The more control, the higher the rate goes. The United
Kingdom and Australia discovered this, but continue with their inane ban on weapons.
Mexico,
a country with arguably the strictest ban on a private citizen from owning a fire
arm is wrought with violent crimes and murders, not to mention corruption in the
highest government offices.
In such places, the private citizen is unarmed
while the average street criminal and the corrupt government are fully armed.
The citizens are then robbed, beaten, murdered, raped and taxed with no one to
protect them.
How long do you think your Constitutional rights would last,
if there was no Second Amendment?
The
liberals in government want to take away your right to self defense? Why do you
think that is? The reason is simple, if you can defend yourself, you are not dependent
on the government and you are also protected from the government becoming a tyranny.
