A Liberal Stereotyping Americans
Aging
Egyptian actor Omar Sharif, probably best known for his roles in Lawrence of
Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, stated that Americans "don't know anything."
In
a recent interview, Sharif said, "I lived in America for a long time. Only
10% of all Americans have a passport. In other words, 90% never left America.
They don't know anything."
Well, the number is actually closer to 21%,
but it's not his statistics that have him dead wrong, it's his conclusion.
Sharif
knew enough to come to America to make money. A lot of money. Like most Hollywood
liberals, they show their gratitude with distain for the very people that made
them wealthy. Remember Michael Moore saying that Americans are the stupidest people
on the planet?
You really can't blame the liberal entertainers. Think about
it, the only contact they have are with fans. Fans that get star-struck in their
presence. After all, Sharif and Moore know what frauds they are, so their fans
must be even more stupid to worship them.
Most
actors act because they can't do anything else. They can pretend that they are
this or that, but they really can't do it. Hollywood has a habit of making them
bigger than life. It's usually quite surprising for most fans when they finally
meet a movie or TV celebrity in person. The first thing that strikes them is how
small the actors are, except for pigs like Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. Of course,
there are exceptions like Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, but they weren't liberals,
were they?
The truth is most Americans don't have passports because they don't
need them. Why would anyone want to leave America? Okay, so you want to tour the
world. Hey, Sharif, do you know what most American travelers say after a trip
abroad? They were never so appreciative of living in the United States. Barbara
Streisand and Alec Baldwin said they were going to leave America, but they didn't,
did they?
Look at Europe. While it's relaxing some of its borders, the fact
is most of their countries are smaller than many of our states. You need a passport
just to travel three or four hundred miles. That would be 486 to 648 kilometers
for you, Sharif.
Regarding Iraq, Sharif advised President George W Bush that
he "will drown there." Sharif was wrong. Saddam and his army were defeated
quickly. Saddam was captured and executed and his henchmen have either been executed
or are on trial. As for the war on terror, al Qaeda is virtually gone.
The "great"
Omar Sharif pleaded no contest (guilty) to punching a parking lot attendant in
Los Angeles last February. So, the next time you're about to pay ten or twelve
dollars to see a movie, remember what most of Hollywood's liberals think of you.
