Obama Running Scared
Now
that Obama has virtually clinched the democrat nomination for president, he wants
all of the delegates reinstated for Michigan and Florida. If you'll recall, both
of those states moved their primaries ahead of schedule against democrat party
rules. They were then penalized by not allowing their votes to count.
Obama
is saying that he wants this done for party unity. Nothing can be further from
the truth. Hillary won both of those primaries. She still has not conceded her
delegates and Obama fears a power grab from her at the convention. Obama is trying
to do an end-run to prevent this.
Most likely, Obama thinks that he will
then get enough of the reinstated delegates to hold off any challenge from Hillary.
If
you will also recall, Obama lost almost every final primary and swing state to
Hillary. He's dead even in the poll with McCain and will soon fall behind McCain.
The dirty little secret that Obama's campaign doesn't want you to know is that
he is actually behind McCain now. Their internal polls have discovered that approximately
ten percent of those polled who have stated their preference for Obama were lying.
That means while the polls show a tie at about 44% each, it's really 54% for McCain
and 34% for Obama.
Obama has failed in all of the polling to break the 50%
mark and would actually need 60% for a real 50% take. In other words, Obama currently
faces a 20% deficit to John McCain. This is an almost insurmountable lead. The
democrats know this, too. That's why a steal by Hillary is not that remote.
One
has to wonder what his excuse will be, if his party finally admits they have a
loser on their hands and dump him for Hillary. Will it be race, gender, what?
