Obama's Involvement with Blagojevich Deeper than Reported
by Obama
Chicago thug politician Rahm
Emanuel, who is Obama's Chief of Staff, was in communication with arrested
governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich. The Chicago Tribune, the newspaper owned
by the financially strapped Tribune Corporation, reported that Emanuel was caught
on federal wiretaps as discussing Obama's senate seat as early as November 4th,
the day of the election.
This
in and of itself is not illegal. However, it casts an even darker cloud over Obama.
Obama had stated that he and his staff had had no contact with Blagojevich. That
was already proven as a lie when a picture from December second surfaced of Obama
shaking Blagojevich's hand exactly one week prior to Obama's statement of denial.
Obama and his staff have been in seclusion for the past couple of days refusing
to answer any questions.
Emanuel, depending on what he was caught saying on
the wiretaps, may soon be departing the Obama team. Obama will no doubt be "saddened"
and declare that it is "not the Rahm Emanuel that I knew."
It is not
unusual for a senator vacating their seat to discuss their replacement with the
governor of the state, especially when that governor is in their own party. It
is, however, highly unusual for a senator to deny that such conversations took
place. Obama, from the cesspool of Chicago-style politics has learned to deny
everything. Sometimes, as in this case, it was more of a reflex than of a well
thought out plan.
Others on Obama's team may make an exit as the heat gets even
higher. After all, who wants to be associated with criminals other than criminals?
It's conceivable that Obama supporters will be saying, "that's not the Obama
I knew."
