Obama Fails to Snooker the Republicans and Loses the Debate
Obama very un-presidentialRepublican lawmakers thought they were going to a negotiation last Friday on the $700 billion bailout. Instead, they discovered that the democrats had already put together a "deal" and just planned to push it through with their approval.

Included in the democrats' scheme was a huge chunk of the money to go to the organization called ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) in which Obama has deep ties. ACORN was caught registering illegal aliens among other illegal activities.

Also, the democrats, who caused the economic melt-down in the first place, were trying to give money to the people who had looted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. If you'll recall, Obama took the second highest amount of money from those institutions. Democrat Chris Dodd was the number one money grubber. Don't forget that Obama's economic advisor is Franklin Raines. Raines is the former CEO of Fannie Mae who took $90 million. Another one of Obama's advisors is Jim Johnson, the disgraced former chairman of Fannie Mae.

So, Obama, who was trying to distance himself from the economic scandal he and his buddies caused was stunned when John McCain suspended his campaign last week to go to Washington and work on solving the crisis. Obama was then forced to go to Washington to help with the cover-up.

President Bush, who relied on his Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, was trying to put the issue to rest much like his father's appeasement of the democrats that had caused him to sign their tax increases. Surrounded by democrats Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, Bush allowed the democrats to present their bailout plan. All of the senior democrats passed allowing Obama to lead. Within moments of Obama opening his ignorant mouth, the meeting fell apart into a shouting match.

Paulson requested everyone in the room to remain silent about what had occurred. However, the democrats couldn't resist blaming McCain and said that McCain was of no assistance as he hadn't said anything in the meeting. That was true, but it was also the democrats' first mistake.

The democrats later tried to blame McCain, saying the meeting fell apart because of McCain. However, this made no sense, because McCain had merely observed the debacle. Slowly, the truth came out that there had been no deal. The Republican leaders had never even been consulted about the proposed plan. Then, the fact that it was Obama's ignorance that caused the meeting to completely collapse was revealed.

Obama, who calls himself the "great unifier" had no clue what the plan details were, other than he knew his friends were going to get a chunk of $700 billion of taxpayer money without any oversight.

The really interesting question is why the dog and pony show? The democrats have a majority in both houses and could pass this bill without any support from the Republicans. The main reason is that the plan is so bad and gives the liberals close to a trillion dollars without any oversight; they want the Republicans to have their fingerprints on it, too. The reason they made such a big show of it was to showcase Obama as a leader. They forgot the critical part that Obama is not a leader and can't even pretend to be one.

The debate that followed Saturday was the icing on the proverbial cake. Obama was shown to be clueless on foreign matters, except that he was able to pronounce the word "Pakistan" as if he were a Pakistani. This irritated many who watched his performance. McCain picked Obama apart methodically. Obama didn't even know the difference between a tactic and a strategy.

Obama lied frequently. At one point he said that former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger agreed that Obama should sit down without preconditions and hold talks with Iran's head lunatic Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. McCain said that he had known Kissinger for 35 years and that Kissinger would never had said that. Interviewed after the debate, Kissinger said McCain was right and Obama had lied.

On economics, Obama claimed that he was going to give a tax cut to 95% of the taxpayers. He said that anyone making over $250,000 a year would get taxed. Unfortunately, Obama failed to explain that small business are taxed at individual rates and that these businesses would be taxed out of business and the result would be higher unemployment.

So, in just two days the world was able to see Obama fail to lead a meeting, lose a debate and lie through his teeth. It will take a while for the truth to soak into the polls, but it will. By this Friday, the polls will reflect Joe Biden's loss to Sarah Palin in their debate.
