Obama Tries Alchemy
Like
the Medieval alchemists trying to turn lead into gold, Obama, the Messiah, has
proclaimed, "We must end the age of oil in our time."
Obama, being
ignorant of economics and foreign policy, has now shown us his scientific illiteracy.
Oil is used for far more than just fuel. It's used to make ink, paint, plastics
and much more. For Obama to declare that oil is evil and that America must stop
using it is the same as calling for the end of America.
Being a liberal, Obama
can't help but also be a hypocrite. In the same speech demonizing oil, Obama wants
to compromise the United States' strategic oil reserve. His "policy"
would be the same as if you were low on fuel and switched to your reserve tank
while passing up gas stations left and right.
Then he said he would consider
drilling, if it would get his socialistic plans to pass as legislation. In other
words, he wants to consider drilling for oil, to appease the approximately 80%
of the US who now want more drilling, without actually drilling. Obama wants to
bring the United States down to the same level as Third-World nations.
Of course,
Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the liberal elitists will continue driving
their SUVs and jetting across the world. They'll probably throw parties at Al
Gore's "green" house that now uses 20 times the national average of
household energy.
"Drilling will take ten years," Obama proclaims.
Not only would it take only a fraction of that time to produce oil, but the effort
will immediately lower the cost of oil. Never mind that his pie-in-the-sky energy
choices, which don't include nuclear, would take at least 20 years, if not longer,
to produce the energy we need. If Bill Clinton had started drilling as was demanded
ten years ago during his presidency, we wouldn't be in this situation.
It's
really sad to see such stupidity and ignorance on display. However, it will get
McCain elected and the democrats thrown out of power, again.
