Absolutely "No Contact"
Obama came out of hiding last Tuesday (December 9) to make a statement regarding
the arrest of Illinois democrat Governor Blagojevich. Obama gave a stammering
and stuttering statement on any discussions he and Blagojevich had regarding Obama's
replacement for his senate seat. Obama said, "I had no contact with the governor
or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."
The
image on the right was taken on December 2, exactly one week before Obama made
his denials of the truth. On top of that, on November 23, David Axelrod, his senior
advisor had appeared on Chicago Fox News. When asked about Obama and his plans
for his vacant senate seat, Axelrod said, "I know he's talked to the governor
and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think
he has a fondness for a lot of them."
Later, an Obama transition office
aide claimed that Axelrod had misspoken. It's important to note that Axelrod himself
did not comment publicly at first. Later that night, Axelrod said, "I was
mistaken when I told an interviewer last month that the President-elect has spoken
directly to Governor Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. They did not then or
at any time discuss the subject."
Interesting...how Axelrod, who had carefully
scripted everything during the Obama campaign,would make such a mistake. Even
stranger is that they waited over two weeks to correct it. Obviously, Axelrod
did not originally misspeak and has every reason to lie about it, now.
To add
more doubt to Obama's story, on November 5th after Obama had won the election,
KHQA-TV of Quincy, IL (Just west of the Mississippi, hence the "K" in
the call sign and not a "W" as in Chicago) reported, that Obama was
meeting with Blagojevich that afternoon to discuss his soon to be vacated senate
seat. They later reported that the meeting had taken place. Now, the station denies
that they ever knew of such a meeting. Liberal media circling the wagons again?
In
the criminal complaint
against Blagojevich, it mentions that he was recorded as being upset that Obama
wouldn't pay Blagojevich for appointing the replacement of Obama's choosing. At
first glance, that would seem to vindicate Obama as not being involved with Blagojevich.
However, it is really quite the opposite.
If Obama had never discussed his senate
vacancy with Blagojevich, then how could Blagojevich have known that Obama wouldn't
pay him? Rather than money, Obama may have hinted at a quid pro quo down the line.
However, it's clear from the tapes that Blagojevich and his wife Patricia were
interested in one thing, and that was money.
Now, onto the second problem with
Obama's lie. Why wouldn't Obama have discussed his replacement with the governor?
They are both democrats and surely they would both have an interest in the replacement.
Even Hillary Clinton has discussed her soon to be vacant senate seat with her
acceptance of the Secretary of State position.
No, there is just too much denial
from Obama too soon for his story to be truthful.
Then it goes even deeper.
Remember Antoin "Tony" Rezko, the convicted felon that purchased a property
right next door to Obama's house and was purchased on the very same day? Obama's
house cost Obama $300,000 below mark value and Rezko paid full price. Just coincidence?
No, Rezko had been doing dirty deals with Blagojevich for a long time and was
part of the reason the feds were investigating Blagojevich. Blagojevich's wife
is a real estate broker who was involved in the deal. She has made over $700,000
in real estate deals that were done with the government. Can you say, "kick
backs?"
It appears that Obama's presidency is in big trouble before he
even takes office. Maybe Rezko and Blagojevich are hoping for a pardon from Obama.
In the meantime, the liberal media has started its concerted effort to paint Blagojevich
as being insane to protect their democrat base. We'll have to wait and see whether
or not Blagojevich will allow this. Possibly, when his wife is arrested, things
will unravel completely.
Rumor has it that not only has Obama not quit smoking,
but he is now chain smoking.
