NAACP Caught Promoting Racism
Recently,
the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) voted to
label the Tea Party as racists; although, there is absolutely no evidence to support
that. In fact, the Tea Party has been vigilant to oust any fringe members spouting
racist views. Still, that didn't stop the NAACP for playing the race card in a
failed attempt to stop the conservative Juggernaut.
The NAACP has been a racist
organization from its start. If there was a group calling itself the NAAWP ("W"
for White), it would quickly be labeled as a racist hate group.
For years, the
NAACP has supported the likes of racists Louis Farrakhan, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton
and Reverend Wright. Today, we can add a lesser known name to that list, Shirley
Sherrod of the Obama administration.
Sherrod, a black woman, was appointed a
year ago as Georgia Director for Rural Development; a high ranking position in
the USDA. Last March, Sherrod gave a speech at a national event for the NAACP.
In her speech, Sherrod said, "He (a white farmer) had to come to me for help.
What he didn't know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was
superior to me was I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give
him. I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their
farmland and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land;
so I didn't give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough."
Tom
Vilsack, Obama's pick for Secretary of Agriculture, "immediately"
forced Sherrod to resign or be fired. "Immediately" was four months
after Sherrod had made the national speech. Apparently, Vilsack didn't think that
a tape would surface showing Sherrod's racism.
The NAACP backed Vilsack's decision;
not because it was the right thing to do, but because Sherrod showed what hypocrites
the members of the NAACP are. If the NAACP had wanted to do the right thing for
the right reason, they would have demanded that Sherrod be fired after her racist
speech at one of their national events.
