Michael Moore "Sicko" at Large, and we mean LARGE!
Michael Moore took a few people he claims are ill 9/11 rescuers for medical treatment, while he filmed them, of course. Where did he take them? Well, it wasn't USC or UCLA. It wasn't the Mayo Clinic. It wasn't some chic European hospital. It wasn't even Canada. No, Michael took them to that country on the cutting edge of medicine, Cuba.
That's right Cuba, that small Island 90 miles off the coast of Florida where people die trying to escape the tyrant Castro and his thugs. Sorry, Michael, Cuba is known for cigars not medical wonders.
Speaking of ailing people, has Michael Moore looked in a mirror lately? All that's missing from his physique is an apple in his mouth.
As if anyone didn't know, it is illegal to conduct business from the United States with Cuba. Michael not only knew, but counted on it. He claimed it was a "low profile" trip. Sorry, there is no way to have a controversial celebrity take a movie crew to Cuba and be low profile.
Of course, the US Treasury department wanted to know what he was doing in Cuba with a film crew and cast. So, like hundreds of other such questionable trips by others, they sent a letter requesting information on his visit. Moore spins it that he is being harassed by President Bush. Actually, Bush has absolutely nothing to do with it. However, Moore won't get any free publicity for another schlock movie, if he only complains about the Treasury Department's form letter.
It's perfectly timed for the Cannes Film Festival and his movie, "Sicko," which is scheduled to be released next month. There's nothing like free publicity to market a film trashing America, again.
For the record, because there is a record, let's set Michael Moore's straight:
Moore claims he's from Flint, Michigan, on the poor side of town. Actually, he's from nearby Davison, which was a white, middle-class area. There his father put all four of his children, including Michael, through Catholic school. His father worked for GM and played golf at a private club.
Michael dropped out of the University of Michigan and mooched off an estranged grandson of one of the founders of GM, John Stuart Mott. Later, Michael received cash advances to rat-out the dirty laundry of the families of GM for a book.
Realizing that dirt sells, it wasn't long before Michael was being paid by anti-American interests to spout his tripe.
While Moore likes to talk about greedy corporations and the exploitation of workers, his stock portfolio, that he hides in a "foundation," is loaded with investments in such companies. For instance, Pharmacia Corporation and Tenet Healthcare, a couple of the same HMO-type companies Sicko attacks were in his investments.
All in all, Michael Moore is a typical liberal. A lying hypocrite saying one thing and doing another while using whoever is handy, even the sick. We won't be hearing of any medical miracles from Cuba. However, we will hear how well his new movie does at the box office. Just remember, Michael is counting on you to be the "dumbest people on the planet" and by another movie ticket to see his lies.
