Merry Christmas!
Want to shock someone? Just say "Merry Christmas!" When was the last time you said "it" in public? Why haven't you? If you are a Christian, why are you afraid to say "Merry Christmas?" You are afraid because you have been told that you are insensitive to others when you do so. As a Christian, do you take offense when someone says "Happy Hanukah?" No, you don't. Nor do you take offense at any other holiday greeting. However, you do feel guilty when you say, "Merry Christmas!" Instead, out of your mouth comes "Happy Holidays!"
In your own country, the USA, with its freedom of religion, you have been made afraid to say, "Merry Christmas!" At the same time you are forced to be concerned with every other religious viewpoint that isn't Christian. Well, it's time for you to stand up for your rights.
Fortunately, we have some who have decided to exercise their Constitutional rights.
Wal-Mart has dropped the "happy holidays" and their greeter now says, "Merry Christmas." In Encinitas, a small town just north of San Diego, they caused quite a stir. They re-named their parade "The Christmas Parade." You see, it was originally called "The Christmas Parade" and was changed to the "Holiday Parade" at some point in the past. Their mayor, Dan Dalager, produced souvenirs and newspaper clippings from the 60's that proved it. Now, some liberals were very upset. Too bad. Christmas was the reason for the parade in the first place.
Why are liberals so afraid that people may return to saying "Merry Christmas?" They know that this country was founded on Christian principles. They have been trying to revise history, but they can't. They are afraid of all things Christian. They fear crosses, they fear morals, they fear any accountability or responsibility.
Liberals don't say much about the Jews and Muslims. They fear that to do so would cause a backlash. They know Christians will just turn the other cheek. Besides, they figure that anything that isn't Christian must be an ally. Of course, these three main religions all have a common birthplace and very common tenets. The difference is liberals can't stand the fact that the US Constitution was written by Christians. It's that one annoying fact that ties morality to the document and therefore responsibility.
So, when you're a Christian who is afraid to say, "Merry Christmas," it's the same hypocrisy and fear that liberals feel every day of their miserable lives. Imagine, going through life as a guilt ridden hypocrite. How spineless! How pathetic!
Hey, liberals, it's Christmas, get over it!
Merry Christmas!
