Merry Christmas!
This is
TLG's second Christmas on line. Last
Christmas we told you how to shock someone simply by saying, "Merry Christmas!"
Retailers last year discovered that they increased sales when they used the term
"Christmas." This year, a few of the politicians running for president
actually said, "Merry Christmas."
Sadly, this year many have returned
to the "happy holidays" greeting due to pressure from liberals. The
result? Lower retail sales, lower attendance to "holiday" parades.
On-line
giant Google still refuses to add "Merry Christmas" to its logo. When
you hover your cursor over their logo, the text "Happy Holidays from Google"
appears. You can look at Google's
holiday logo history and see that they even refuse to mention a religious
holiday.
You see Google, a liberal company in the California Bay Area, and other
liberals are terrified of religion. In the US, they try to hide behind the US
Constitution stating that religion is somehow forbidden, especially where
the government is concerned. Well, nowhere in the Constitution is there any wording
or implication that there is a separation of church and state.
Liberals love
to quote the First Amendment, out of context, of course: "Congress shall
make no law respecting an establishment of religion." That sentence actually
continues, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" The liberals conveniently forget
that last part just as they forget about "the right of the people to keep
and bare arms shall not be infringed," in the Second
Amendment.
In other words, the First Amendment guarantees that the government
can not interfere with your religious beliefs. It doesn't say that you can't have
a Christmas tree on public property. It doesn't say that there can't be crosses
on memorials to fallen soldiers. It certainly doesn't say that you can't say Merry
Christmas. However, the liberals have used their liberal justices, anointed by
democrats, to twist the very meaning of the Constitution.
So, why are the liberals
so afraid of religion? They fear it because it represents a power higher than
the government, a government that they want to abuse to control your lives. You
can't vote for God. Belief in God empowers people. Empowered people can't be dependent
on liberal politicians. Liberal politicians can't stay in power, unless you are
dependent upon them.
Merry Christmas and may God Bless America!
