Liberals Educated by Criminals
Apparently, those attending Hofstra University in New York need role models. As part of their sixth biannual ethics conference, they have chosen Lynne Stewart to speak. That's about the same as the senate having Ted Kennedy teach a driving class. By the way, old Teddy is on the senate ethics committee.
You see Lynne Stewart was convicted in 2005 of aiding her terrorist client. Specifically, she was found guilty and sentenced to 28 months in prison for providing material support to terrorists. Her client, terrorist Omar Abdel-Rahman, was sentenced to life in prison for plotting to blow up five New York landmarks and assassinate Egypt's president. Such a sweet old lady.
In their twisted minds, the university somehow thinks that their students can learn how to best represent "unpopular clients, difficult cases, zealous advocates." Their conference is entitled, "Lawyering at the Edge."
What will they learn from the disbarred lawyer and convicted felon? Maybe how to better cover their tracks? Maybe they will become the future lawyers Hillary Clinton will employ to stay out of prison. Maybe Hofstra's next conference will feature child molesters.
