Another Dopey Idea from a Democrat
Just when you thought the liberals couldn't find anything more stupid to do, along comes Los Angeles democrat assemblyman, Lloyd Levine.

Levine wants to ban the incandescent light bulb. That's right, the average light bulb would be against the law by 2012. You would be breaking the law because you smuggled a light bulb into California.

Yes, there are other types of bulbs that save energy. They last longer than a regular light bulb, too. However, a law? Incandescent lighting is used for many purposes. Many prefer its light over fluorescent lighting. However, democrat Levine wants to force Californians to use only one type of light.

Where will it stop? If successful, democrats and liberals will use the same "logic" to ban decorative lighting, Christmas lights and eventually when you will be allowed to turn on a light.

Hey, Levine, how about turning off the freeway ramp meter lights and those stupid message boards along the freeway? Not only would that save money and energy, but traffic would move more smoothly saving drivers time and gas. No, rest assured, the democrats will allow any incandescent lighting that regulates your "freedom."
