Liberal Science
Now that the liberal mumbo-jumbo of
man-made global warming
has been debunked, it's time to look at other liberal attempts in social engineering
that have no basis in fact.
Let's
go back in time for one of the liberals' first crack at changing the American
way of life for the worse. Remember the first time you went into a public restroom
to wash your hands and found no paper towels? Instead, there was an air dryer
bolted to the wall in its place.
The liberals touted these pieces of junk as
environmentally better than a paper towel. Among their claims were fewer trees
would be cut, they cost less than paper towels and they are more sanitary. None
of those claims were true. Paper towels are made from recycled paper. The energy
used to power the dryers is expensive. As for being more sanitary, they suck up
contaminated restroom air and blow it onto your hands. Besides, you end up wiping
your hands on something else, like your pants or a fistful of paper napkins you
grab on the way out of the restaurant.
These contraptions are still around.
The modern ones claim they use "80% less energy." Probably because they
no longer have a heating element. Most establishments have gone back to using
paper towels.
The next thing the liberal environmentalists decided was that
paper grocery bags were killing trees. The grocery industry and others soon adopted
plastic bags. Regardless of the environmental issues, customers liked them. They
were far stronger than paper bags and could be reused for many other purposes.
The
next generation of liberal whackos decided that plastic was an environmental hazard.
In response, a new phrase was born, "Paper or plastic?" Since most people
realize that there is nothing wrong with plastic bags, the choice is overwhelmingly
plastic.
Liberals, being against free choice, mounted a campaign of disinformation.
They claim that plastic bags cause the death of over 100,000 animals and over
1,000,000 sea birds every year. Although, this is obviously false, a recent study
was conducted on the effects of plastic bags on wildlife. The conclusion was that
plastic bags pose a statistically zero risk. That means less than one percent
of animal deaths can be attributed to plastic bags.
Then there was the hole
in the Ozone. The use of Freon and other chlorofluorocarbons CFCs) were banned,
claiming that they destroy the ozone layer. The fact is they don't. Not only that,
but the "hole in the ozone layer" was later to be discovered a naturally
occurring phenomenon. Too late, the urban legend persists.
It doesn't stop there.
The next attack was on plastic water bottles. Although, the liberals can't even
find a semi-plausible explanation for this, they know that it is a convenience
that people like and use. So, they complain of the litter of plastic bottles.
Some cities such as San Francisco have outlawed them. Interestingly, San Francisco,
like most every part of the nation already has laws against littering. Since they
can't seem to enforce that, how do they expect to outlaw plastic bottles?
What's
next on their hit list. Anything that makes life more convenient is fair game
to these socialists. You see, the environment is only their excuse. They use it
and outrageous claims that can't be verified to make you feel guilty. Their true
agenda is to destroy your freedoms and control everything you do.
The typical
liberal follower is just that, a follower. They really don't have any understanding
of the hidden agenda of liberalism. They are beyond ignorant. They have lost the
ability to think for themselves. Their passion blinds them. Their education was
nothing more than an indoctrination. Why do you suppose Al Gore refuses to debate
anyone on the subject of global warming? It's because he knows that it can't be
defended nor supported by facts.
So,
how do the liberal elites, such as Al Gore, defend their hypocritical lifestyles?
They have huge energy bills, drive gas-guzzling SUVs in entourages of other gas-guzzling
SUVs, jet from country to country using millions of gallons of fuel, etc. They
rationalize. They "buy carbon credits." By the way, there is no such
thing as a carbon credit. However, liberal followers believe there are.
The
next time a liberal talks about carbon credits, ask them where to buy them. Chances
are they won't know. If they do know, then they are about to swindle you out of
your money.
Like militant religious fanatical leaders, they never practice what
they preach. They send out the ignorant and impressionable to do their bidding,
while they sit back and act like they were anointed from God.
