The Liberal Media Sprouts What Might Be a Spine; But Why Now?
Since
the campaign, the liberal media, which is any news organization other than Fox
News, has simply been a mouthpiece of Obama. They have never asked a tough question
in the daily press briefings held by the incredibly dimwitted Robert
Gibbs. The only reason Gibbs still has his job is because he is the only one
stupid enough to carry on this charade and actually think that the American people
are buying it. However, a funny thing happened the other day.
The White
House press pool was offered an interview with Obama's pay czar, Kenneth
Feinberg; that is the entire pool excluding Fox News. Last Sunday, Obama sent
out his minions to the morning TV talk show circuit announcing that Fox News isn't
really a news organization. There was no backlash from the liberal media on Obama's
escalation of his attack on Fox News, with one exception.
Obama was asked about his statement that Fox News wasn't a real news organization
and he danced around the subject without any follow-up questioning. So, Obama
felt safe to order that Fox News be excluded from the interview with Feinberg.
To
the embarrassment of Obama, the entire pool decided that if Fox News was excluded,
they wouldn't interview Feinberg at all. Obama relented and allowed Fox News to
be included.
That didn't end the issue. The liberal media across the board
were revolting at the idea that Obama could think that he could so easily manipulate
how the news is covered. While the rest of the liberal media's ratings combined
pale in comparison to Fox News, they decided it was in their best interest to
stand shoulder to shoulder with Fox News against the oppressive Obama regime.
There
could be more to this than journalistic pride. A more likely motivator was fear.
If Fox News was no longer in the room with them, who would ask the tough questions,
of which they were too afraid to ask? If Fox News was no longer in the pool, which
news organization would be the next to feel the wrath of Obama?
Still, in
farness to the liberal press, they made the right decision. They made a brave
decision. It could spell the beginning of the end of Obama's lapdog press that
up until now have simply been stenographers for Obama. Time will tell.
