Clinton Jokers Still Playing the Race Card
As
predicted, the Clintons played the race card early. Still, Obama came out ahead
by one delegate in Nevada. You wouldn't know it by the press coverage claiming
that Hillary had won Nevada.
Yesterday, Obama routed Hillary in South Carolina.
Bill Clinton had been campaigning for Hillary in South Carolina thinking that
he has a good relationship with African-Americans since he was called "America's
First Black President."
However, that relationship, if it ever existed,
soured in the South Carolina primary. Bill was campaigning on the untrue notion
that Obama was only going to get votes in South Carolina because of his race.
While
Obama did get a vast majority of the black vote, he got a vast majority of overall
votes, 55%. Clinton only received 27% and Edwards trailed with a mere 18%. That
surely transcends any race issues.
Now, the Clintons are playing the race card
in a new way. Bill is already saying that Obama's win was a race issue. Of course,
Bill and Hillary are trying to portray it as Obama playing the race card to win
South Carolina. Yet. Obama has said very little about the race issue.
With the
democrat party and the liberal media firmly behind the Clintons, it is doubtful
that Obama will win the party's nomination for president. With a black man in
the White House, the democrats and the liberal media will have lost their power.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will be out of business. Ironically, if Obama wins
the party's nomination and then goes on to win the presidency, the entire democrat
party would have a dramatic shift in power.
While none of the democrats would
do this country any good as none have the experience nor the intelligence to make
decisions beyond their own greed, Obama would be a huge turning point in American
politics. The democrat party would be forever changed, and that's a good thing.
