John Kerry, democrat senator
from Massachusetts, really stepped into it this time. On October 30, the liberal
took another jab at the military by basically calling the people who defend this
great nation stupid. Speaking to a college audience in Pasadena, California, Kerry
said, "you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be
smart, you can do well...and if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
The
political firestorm that swept the country after Kerry's display of typical, ignorant,
liberal elitism, called for his apology from both liberal and conservative ends
of the spectrum. Kerry then called President George W. Bush, Rush Limbaugh and
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow names. Next, Kerry dug his hole even deeper
and said he refused to ever apologize for what he had said.
Two days later,
Kerry, the liberal who "voted for it before he voted against it," made
his trademark flip-flop and offered an apology. Too little and too late, from
the spineless liberal. The same liberal who tried to ride to the White House on
an exaggerated military career. To this day, he still has not allowed his official
military records to be released. It is rumored that he received a dishonorable
discharge that was later changed to honorable by Jimmy Carter, who brought us
the "Misery Index" of the 70's.
The result of his open-mouth-insert-foot-speech
was a cancellation of his appointments across the country to help other liberal
democrats with this month's elections. It seems that Kerry is unable to take what
he tries to dish out and none of the other democrats want to be associated with
him.
It couldn't have come at a better time for the GOP. Kerry's ignorance
has reminded the voting public what a bottom-feeder he is and how he is so condescending
of the people that make this country great. A look at the facts shows that on
average our military personnel are far better educated than the public as a whole.
Even
Kerry's own party demanded an apology. Like the little boy forced by his mother
to say he's sorry, Kerry is now laying low, hoping that a week will be long enough
for the voters to forget that he himself is an idiot. So, now we know the answer
to, "Kerry, why the long face?"
