Jimmy Carter
is still trying to rewrite history. Although, Clinton made a run for it, Jimmy Carter is still, by far, the worst president we have had in modern times. He brought us the "misery index," the Iranian hostage fiasco, gave up US control of the Panama Canal, boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow and much more in the four dark years he and the democrats ran the country, almost into the ground. Today, Carter spends his time bashing America and lying about the past.
Most recently, 14 of his advisors at the Carter Center have resigned. It seems that he even crossed their liberal lines with his latest book, "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid." They claim it is inaccurate and distorts the truth. That's putting it mildly.
Let TLG be clear about it: Jimmy Carter is an anti-American liar. He will do anything to change history on his miserable, failed political career. He tried to clean it up with photo opportunities of him building houses for the poor. When that didn't work, he went to America's enemies and bashed America on foreign soil. If America won't change its view of Jimmy Carter, then Jimmy Carter will do his best to discredit America. Always on foreign soil, of course.
In his latest book, Carter attacks Israel and tries to blame the everlasting crisis in the Middle East entirely on Israel. Carter is a liar. The majority of Americans realize this. The democrats find him an embarrassing reminder of how socialism is fundamentally flawed and will never work.
Democrat$ in Charge "Accomplishments" by the House updated 01/19/07:
- Blocked any new tax cuts
- Change vote to simple majority to raise taxes
- Pelosi closes House 01/08/07 (so much for 100 hours)
- $53 Billion for bogus 9/11 recommendations
- Banned smoking in Speaker's Lobby
- Minimum wage raised over 40%; time to raise everything else to adjust, including unemployment and prices! Of course, Pelosi has exempted Del Monte because it's in her district!
- Voted to lift restrictions banning taxpayer dollars to be used for unproven stem cell research using tissues from aborted babies. The vote fell far short of the two-thirds majority needed to override the president's veto.
- Voted to stifle competition between drug companies in an effort to have government control health care. The vote fell far short of the two-thirds majority needed to override the president's veto.
- Voted to raise taxes on American oil companies. If passed by the senate and not vetoed, expect more dependency on foreign oil and higher prices at the pump.
- Democrats say "100 Hours" is over. Funny, nearly three weeks equals 100 hours. It used to be just over four days. Everything costs five times as much with democrats.

Every time Carter opens his mouth trying to stick it to conservatives and Republicans, the liberals are left with egg on their collective faces.
Last February, speaking at the funeral of Coretta Scott King, Carter said, "It was difficult for them (Martin Luther & Coretta Scott King) then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps."
Carter, while at a funeral, was attacking George W Bush's use of NSA wiretaps of foreign terrorists by comparing them to the electronic eavesdropping of the Kings, who were US citizens. In his zeal to push his warped liberal agenda, Carter forgot an important fact. The person who ordered that the Kings be wiretapped was democrat Robert F Kennedy, the late brother of Senator Ted Kennedy, who was also at the funeral.
No, Carter will never succeed. He will go down in history as not only the worst president the US ever had, but as a bitter liar to the end. We get comfort from the fact that he's still around with his big mouth reminding us that liberals are liars and fools.
