Hillary Lied...That's
Not the Story!
While
speaking at a recent campaign event, Hillary lied about her "experience"
in foreign affairs. She spoke of her visit to Bosnia in 1996, "There was
supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we
just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
She went on and on about sniper fire.
Yes, Hillary went to Bosnia in 1996.
Just one problem. She wasn't alone and their were journalists with video cameras.
The
real story isn't that Hillary lied about the incident. It's not even that she
continued to lie about it even after comedian Sinbad, who was there also in 1996,
contradicted her version of events. Even after being confronted with the truth
four times, she maintained her bogus story of danger. Again, that's not the story.
The
story is that this time, the liberal media actually called her on a lie. Why after
decades of Clinton lies from cattle futures to Whitewater to Vincent Foster to
Travel-gate to being named after Sir Edmund Hillary to a "vast right-wing
conspiracy" to...well, the list of lies could go on for decades. Now, after
dozens of years the liberal media actually reported it!
CBS, also known
as the Clinton Broadcasting System, actually ran the story of Hillary's lies on
their news. Was it because Hillary is ducking another debate requested by CBS?
Is it because the Washington Post broke the story and CBS couldn't sweep it under
the rug? Is CBS news trying to redeem themselves from Dan Rather-gate?
CBS
had cameras there that day in 1996. While playing Hillary's description of running
for cover from sniper fire, the video showed quite a different story. A beautiful
day. Hillary and Chelsea, without helmets or body armor, walking casually on the
tarmac, waving to the crowd and stopping to talk to a little girl. No gun fire.
Not even in the distance.
Today, all of the liberal media is talking about
Hillary's lies. Hillary is now saying she "misspoke." That would be
an excuse, if she hadn't been confronted with the truth four times before admitting
she lied...er..."misspoke."
So, has the liberal media finally
decided to broadcast the truth? Have they decided to investigate liberals as well
as conservatives? It's doubtful. It's more a case of the wicked witch being dead.
However, it was refreshing.
Will Obama now coast to become the democrats'
nominee? It's doubtful. Remember, the fix is in. The real fun, as Hillary once
put it, will begin at their convention in Colorado. The real story is how Obama's
supporters will react when Hillary is crowned no matter how many more votes Obama
received. In the meantime, enjoy this day or two of actual fairness from the liberal
media.
