The bully, Rosie O'Donnell, was upset with her View co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. On an earlier episode of the View, Rosie implied American troops were terrorists, blaming some 650 thousand Iraqi civilian deaths on them saying, "655,000 Iraqi civilians have died. Who are the terrorists?" Rosie angrily wanted to know why Hasselbeck didn't defend her from the critics. Rosie snapped, "What you did was not defend me. ... I asked you if you believed what the Republican pundits were saying, you said nothing, and that's cowardly!...Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists? And you would not even look me in the face, Elisabeth, and say, 'No, Rosie," The usually meek Hasselbeck shot back, "Because you are an adult, and I am certainly not going to be the person for you to explain your thoughts. They're your thoughts! Defend your own insinuations!" The in-studio audience reacted with applause for Hasselbeck. That pushed Rosie over the edge. Rosie yelled, "So for three weeks, you can say all the Republican crap you want." Hasselbeck showed great restraint, but finally illustrated how to verbally punch a big, fat bully in the nose. Rosie tried to claim that she left early on her own request. She said she asked for a day off to celebrate her partner's birthday and then announced that she had requested to leave three weeks early. Sure Rosie, we all ask the boss for a day off to celebrate a "partners" birthday. No matter what the executives say, you were fired. The viewers and the sponsors had heard enough from you. Don't worry, Rosie. The only bad press is no press in Hollywood. Someone will pick you up and you can spout your tripe again. You'll still be you and that's punishment enough. TLG |
