Godless Infidels Dan Barker and his wife Annie Gaylor Air America Looking for Salvation from Atheists
In a move to try to stay afloat, bankrupt liberal talk radio Air America launched the Godless Infidels show. A weekly one-hour talk show that discusses what atheists don't believe.

Hosted by Dan Barker and his wife Annie Laurie Gaylor, Barker said, "There's a gap, there's a place for it. With all this religious broadcasting, there's nothing specific for atheists and agnostics." Sure there's a gap. The gap between his ears.

The show opens with the welcoming line, "Godless infidels, out-of-the-closet atheists and happy heathens." Hey, this is America. You have a right to not believe, but broadcasting your ignorance is really funny! Also, kind of foolhardy using the term "Godless Infidels." Why not just paint a big, red bull's eye on your shirt and take a walk through an Islamic Terrorist stronghold? Well, this is America and even liberals are protected by conservatives. In the meantime, we have another hour a week of liberal hypocrisy and ignorance.

If you want atheist gibberish, you don't need to listen to Godless Infidels. Just get your news from CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and the New York Times to mention a few sources. However, the mainstream media has the sense not to honestly call themselves what they truly are, Godless Infidels.

It seems that Barker's main beef is that the United States was founded on Christian principles. He spends a great deal of time arguing that the United States is not a Christian nation. Here's a news flash for Barker, not only was this great nation founded by Christians, but it's current population is 80% Christian. Only 3% identify themselves as atheists. So, 97% of Americans have some sort of religious beliefs.

Barker, the ignorant liberal that he is, challenges his audience to find anything in the US Constitution or Declaration of Independence that establishes the US as a Christian nation. Technically, Barker is correct, the documents do not establish the US as a solely Christian nation. However, it is clear that being Godless was not an option.

The first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence states, "...the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them (humans)..." Moving to the document's second paragraph, the words are even stronger, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights..." Then there's that pesky last paragraph,"...with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence"

The US Constitution is even more specific. Barker and his liberal friends have tried to twist the document's meaning into a "separation of church and state." Nowhere in the US Constitution does it state or even imply this. Liberals love to point to the First Amendment as proof, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..."

Their favorite part is "freedom of religion." Sorry, liberals, it says "of," not "from." They totally ignore the rest of the sentence, "...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..." Any reasonable person would conclude that the First Amendment protects religion from government intrusion. Then again, liberals are not reasonable people. If they were, they wouldn't be liberals.

On that note, Barker interviewed an atheist's advocate who is suing the Pentagon and an Army major for not allowing him to hold an atheist's meeting. This moron has no legal foundation. He probably didn't have anyone with whom to meet, either. Atheists don't believe in God or religion, therefore his meeting does not fall under the First Amendment protection for religion. Secondly, military personnel are governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) not the US Constitution.

Didn't this "soldier" swear an oath to God and his country?:

"I, {insert name here}, do solemnly swear, (or affirm), that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

In fairness, the last sentence is not required. However, atheists usually adopt it while under enemy fire.

In closing, if you're going to spend time on a show about nothing, wouldn't it be Seinfeld?
