Obama Dumps GM and UAW Like They Are Reverend Wright
After
GM runs into the economic ground after years of being strongarmed into overpaying
its democrat union workers, the Inept One steps in to save the day.
Obama's
first order of business was to fire GM CEO, Rick Wagoner. Sidestepping the issue
of Obama's overreaching, maybe Wagoner had to go, but Obama should also have fired
the UAW president, Ron Gettelfinger. No, Obama didn't want to do that directly,
being that he is truly a spineless coward.
Next, Obama propped up GM's number
two man, Fritz Henderson. Henderson droned on and on extolling the virtues of
the "new" GM and how it will avoid bankruptcy. A gathering of union
leaders were asked whether or not they thought GM would go bankrupt. Not one of
them thought that.
Henderson said that new GM cars would be smaller, more fuel
efficient and backed by a 5-year, 100,000 mile guarantee. The gaurantee would
be backed by the government. Sorry, Henderson, that's not a selling point under
this corrupt administration.
Surprise! Obama has decided to "ease"
GM into a "structured" bankruptcy. A little side note, all bankruptcies
are structured. Some more detailed than others, but it is a legal proceeding.
Bankruptcy is the very thing GM should have done before Obama and the democrats
demanded that Bush release billions of dollars in bailout money. This is money
that doesn't exist and that is now owed by taxpayers for generations to come.
Obama
is trying to obfuscate the message, but the message is clear. When Obama is finished
with you, he'll discard you. Just like Obama did with Reverend
Wright, his spiritual mentor for the last 20 years.
You see, Obama is a
sociopath. Lies fall from his lips with the ease of simply breathing. Eventually,
sociopaths burn all of their bridges; at least the important ones that took years
to establish. The only thing Obama is burning faster than his political capital
is our hard earned money.
