100 Hours to Insanity! Democrats started their feeding frenzy with their promised 100 hour agenda. Basically, it's a blitzkrieg of insanity. Their self-proclaimed juggernaut hit a bit of a snag yesterday (01/03/2007). It seems that their constituents decided to crash the democrats' press conference.

Leading the way was their chief civilian idiot, Cindy Sheehan. Princess Cindy decided that the agenda should be total and immediate surrender to terrorists in Iraq. With a loud and rude protest usually reserved for Republicans, Sheehan and company forced the democrats to cut their press conference short. You see, Sheehan thought that the democrats actually cared about her views. They were just using her for emotional leverage against Bush.

The democrats, led by ultra-left hypocrite, Nancy Pelosi, met with Sheehan. The conflict is that the democrats want to work on "domestic issues" while Sheehan wants total surrender by the US in Iraq. Of course, "domestic issues" is code for screw the Republicans.

Here's the problem for the liberals. They want revenge on the Republicans, but they know that America doesn't hold a grudge against them as highlighted by the extreme respect they receive at their funerals. Yes, most recently Ford, preceded by Reagan and even disgraced Nixon are loved for their commitment to the security of the US. The democrats have to go back to Kennedy for that kind of respect. Carter and Clinton just won't cut it.

Beyond the "domestic issues," the democrats want to hold hearings to set a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq. The problem with that is they don't have the power to move troops. That rests with the Commander in Chief, George W Bush. They can halt the funding of the military, but that would be political suicide. As soon as the first soldier died after they cut a dollar from the budget, the democrats would be toast.

Furthermore, the democrats in their "heart of hearts," as they like to phrase it, truly understand that it has been George W Bush's policies that have protected America since 9/11. If they were to dismantle even one measure of Homeland Security, and a terrorist attack materialized on American soil, their careers would be over.

Yes, the democrats have painted themselves into the proverbial corner. Their political power is viewed as being supported by the likes of Cindy Sheehan. They have control of congress and want to push domestic issues. Only there really are no pressing domestic issues. The economy is humming along, unemployment is at near record lows and the US is as strong as ever. If there is a change in direction, it will have nowhere to go, except downward. Their only notable candidates for the White House in 2008 are Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Howard Dean and Barack Obama (sounds too much like Iraq Osama). Hell, why not throw in Rosie O'Donnell?
