Parse, Parse - Gitmo
Policy is a Farce
One
of Obama's first executive
orders was to announce that he would close the prison at Guantanamo Bay known
as "Gitmo" by January of 2010. He had no and still has no plans for
the 241 prisoners held there.
Obama first suggested to transfer them to
the US Marine Base at Camp Pendleton, CA, just north of San Diego. Obama's pea-sized
brain failed to realize that housing the murderers of US Marines in the same base
that houses the Marine families of their victims was a bad idea. San Diegans,
both democrats and Republicans, rose up in anger and Obama's stupid idea was put
to rest.
So, the matter remains up in the air. In the meantime, Obama got
together with his half-witted Homeland Security chief, Janet
Napolitano. They decided that we can't call the murderous terrorists at Gitmo
terrorists or even enemy combatants. No, we had to call them simply "detainees."
Not only that, but we are no longer to call the fight against terrorists the war
on terror. No, now it's "overseas contingency operations." Terrorist
acts can no longer be called terrorism; now we must call them "man-caused
disasters."
The other day, Obama requested millions of dollars to deal
with the "detainees" at Gitmo. The democrat controlled senate told him
to forget it. That's right; even Obama's own party has had enough of his stupidity.
They told Obama that without plans, he will get no funding for closing Gitmo.
That
brings us to today. Today, Obama's choice for Attorney General, tax
cheat Eric Holder, the man who got Bill Clinton to pardon fellow tax cheat
Marc Rich after funneling money to Clinton, testified at the US Senate hearing
regarding Gitmo and the prisoners held there. The headlines are screaming that
"Gitmo Prisoners Won't Be Released into the US." It appears that they
have jumped the proverbial gun.
In language that was very Clintonesque,
here is what Holder said: "We don't have any plans to release terrorists.
With regard to those who you would describe as terrorists, we would not bring
them into this country and release them, anyone we would consider to be a terrorist."
He also added that terrorists wouldn't be released into foreign countries, either.
To
a reasonable person, this would be inferred as Gitmo prisoners won't be released
into the United States. However, liberals aren't reasonable people. They are liars.
They also parse words in such a way to make you think they are saying what you
want to hear.
Let's look more closely at what Holder said. Firstly, Obama
and his insane administration don't call the prisoners at Gitmo terrorists. So,
anyone they release from Gitmo isn't "anyone we would consider to be a terrorist."
Holder also said, "We don't have any plans to release terrorists." That
is absolutely true. They have absolutely no plans. They're winging it as they
do everything and that's why everything they have touched has gotten worse. Lastly,
Holder also spoke of foreign countries. Does he mean foreign as relative to the
United States or foreign as to a country other than the detainee's own? Besides,
all the other nations have told Obama to forget it, they're his problem.
Be
prepared; a Gitmo terrorist...er...detainee may be living in your neighborhood
soon.
