Hillary For or Against Free Trade? Depends.
Mark
Penn, Hillary's now former chief strategist, resigned because it was discovered
that he was lobbying to get a free trade deal for Columbia through congress at
the same time Hillary is claiming that she is against this deal and NAFTA.
In
the TLG opinion piece April 6, TLG half
jokingly said that Penn was probably just confused on whether Hillary is really
for or against those free trade deals.
If you'll recall, Hillary supported NAFTA
as Bill signed the deal. She now claims that she verbalized reservations about
it. There is no tape or documentation that supports this explanation. Therefore,
it is simply another lie by Hillary.
Now,
it is revealed that Bill Clinton received $800,000 for speaking engagements to
promote the Columbian free trade deal to get it passed through congress. Does
this mean Bill will need to stop working on her campaign, also?
Hillary is trying
to spin this as it being normal to have spouses disagree on political subjects.
True, but few spouses are running for president and these two can't even get their
own story straight.
Hillary wants to be perceived as having "experience"
because she says she was an influential part of Bill's administration, yet she's
trying to claim that Bill will have no influence on her administration should
she be elected. The unfortunate truth for Hillary is that she had no influence
on Bill's administration nor his "private" life other than to enable
him to lie about both.
A
respectable candidate would donate the $800,000 to the labor unions that she patronizes.
However, Hillary is not respectable and the truth is being revealed for what it
is; two slimy carpetbaggers from Arkansas who are trying to enrich themselves
via the taxpayers.
There is now so much political ammunition in the Republican's
possession that there is absolutely no way she will beat McCain when she steals
the nomination from Obama. The funny part is that she has no one to blame, but
herself.
