Birds of a Feather...
Barack
Obama may be an eloquent speaker as long as the teleprompter is running, but he
hems and haws when asked about his choice of associates.
He defended Reverend
Wright, until it became obvious to all that Wright was a racist bigot. Obama explained
that it was not the Reverend Wright he knew. Yet, Wright was Obama's "spiritual
leader" for 20 years.
Obama, while trying to separate himself from
the racism spewed from the pulpit by Wright, maintained that he still was a part
of the same church.
That was until Reverend Pfleger mocked Hillary Clinton
from the same pulpit. Pfleger dramatically claimed that Hillary thought that she
deserved the nomination over Obama because Obama was black.
While
there was some truth to what Pfleger had said, it was still offensively expressed
by a routine that would make a stand-up comic proud. So, Obama then withdrew his
membership from the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Then there's
Antoin "Tony" Rezko, Obamas friend and business partner for 18 years.
Rezko was just convicted of fraud and money laundering. Obama explained his association
with Rezko saying, that's not the Tony Rezko I knew.
Early in the campaign,
Hillary claimed that Obama had done legal work for Rezko which she described as
a "slum lord business in inner city Chicago." Well, it takes one to
know one, right Hillary?
Now,
Obama is considering who his running mate should be. He's being pressured to choose
Hillary, who has said she is open to the idea, but still has not officially conceded.
Called the "dream ticket" by some and the "nightmare ticket"
by others, one would think that Obama would have to choose someone without at
least a few skeletons in their proverbial closet. However, Obama has not shown
much of an ability to make a good choice.
Obama's victory speech last Tuesday
spoke of it being the moment that the oceans will stop rising and the Earth will
begin to heal. Has anyone bothered to take a look at the slums of Chicago in the
Illinois senator's state?
Then
there's his friendship with Bill Ayers from the radical terroist group, Weather
Underground. More on that relationship another time.
We'll have to see what
crazy decision Obama makes next. After the next Clinton scandal will he be saying,
"That's not the Hillary I know?"
