Between the Lines
Obama gave a speech to the Muslim world. He parsed his
words carefully to hide the truth and sprinkled it with obvious lies and inaccuracies.
One thing was constant; his anti-American sentiment. Obama blamed America again
just as he did on his European Apology Tour. Let's compare some of what he said
with the truth.
Obama talked about tension between the US and Islam. He
said, "More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights
and opportunities to many Muslims..." The US has never colonized anything
in the Muslim world.
He went on, "Violent extremists have exploited
these tensions in a small but potent minority of Muslims." Violent extremists?
Obama could not bring himself to say the word "terrorist." Of course,
he spoke of the Koran, "As the Holy Koran tells us, 'Be conscious of God
and speak always the truth.'" Unfortunately, Obama doesn't follow that belief.
It
didn't take long for the doubletalk to begin. Obama said, "I am a Christian,
but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims."
He states he's a Christian to appease his American audience and then tries to
claim that he is from a Muslim upbringing to bond with his Muslim audience. According
to Obama's own writings, Obama's father was a Muslim who rejected Islam and became
an Atheist. Since Obama says whatever his audience wants to hear, no one can truly
be sure of what the truth is.
Obama then gave a litany of accolades to Muslims.
One wonders who put this list of inaccuracies together, but Obama read it nonetheless.
Just as Al Gore claimed to be the inventor of the Internet, Obama claimed that
Muslims created algebra. No, it was the Babylonians. They were from the ancient
Arab world, but they were not Muslims. Obama claimed that printing came from Muslims.
No, it was from German Johannes Gutenberg. He was not a Muslim. In fact, he was
the first to print a version of the Bible. Obama even tried to credit the engineering
of the arch to Muslims. No, it predated Islam and was used more by the Romans
than any other people. The Romans also were not Muslims.
However, the biggest
whopper he spewed about Muslims was, "And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated
through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."
Does he mean strapping bombs onto children to kill innocent people or hijack airplanes
and crash them into office buildings? Are those the deeds? If any religion is
not tolerant, it is Islam.
Obama claimed that America is home to seven million
Muslims. The truth is barely three million. That's about one percent. Compared
to the entire 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, it is statistically zero.
Moving
to the subject of the US and its military, Obama made this ignorant comment, "...
events in Iraq have reminded America of the need to use diplomacy." There
were 16 UN resolutions passed before the US finally invaded Iraq and ousted Saddam
Hussein. Obama needs to understand that war is the final act of diplomacy.
Obama
then had the audacity to claim, "I have unequivocally prohibited the use
of torture by the United States, and I have ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay
closed by early next year." Hey, Obama, torture has always been illegal in
the United States. As for Gitmo, check the polls. That's where Americans want
to keep terrorists.
Obama called for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
Oh, that solved everything. No one ever thought of that before now.
Nearing
the end of his speech, Obama gave the green light to Iran and North Korea in their
nuclear ambitions. He said, "No single nation should pick and choose which
nations hold nuclear weapons. That is why I strongly reaffirmed America's commitment
to seek a world in which no nations hold nuclear weapons. And any nation
including Iran should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power if
it complies with its responsibilities under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."
The
first two sentences of that statement contradict one another. If no single nation
should choose which other nation has a nuclear weapon, how can America decide
that the rest of the world be free of such weapons? Let's see, Iran has repeatedly
called for the destruction of Israel...yeah, let's trust them to abide by a treaty.
The same for North Korea; as they are in the process of rolling out their ICBM
and maybe test to see how far they can send their nuclear warhead.
Obama
even touched on women's rights, but, as usual, said little of any substance. There
was this little gem, "I reject the view of some in the West that a woman
who chooses to cover her hair is somehow less equal..." Huh? How about "honor
killings," stonings, beatings, etc.?
Turning to global interaction,
Obama said he wants to "create a new online network, so a teenager in Kansas
can communicate instantly with a teenager in Cairo." We already do that,
Obama, It's called the Internet. Also, they can pick up a telephone. International
Direct Distance Dialing has been around for decades.
Obama offered to specifics
on how to accomplish his goals; just as he pronounced Gitmo's closure without
a plan.
America is in deep trouble. Obama is dismantling America's defenses
and economy. It's to a point that we are now weaker than when Jimmy Carter was
in office. Like Carter, Obama doesn't understand that peace comes from strength;
especially, in the Muslim world where only strength is respected. Obama is cheered
by America's enemies, for he makes America weak and target-rich environment.
How
do all the Atheist liberals feel about having their chosen one reference success
and change to religion?
