The
"Surge" Works, Democrats Attack Messenger
Democrats are beside
themselves. The latest findings out of Iraq confirm that the surge has been successful.
Democrats can not allow a US victory in Iraq, again.
After defeating Saddam,
the vacuum was filled by terrorists. The same terrorists that have killed Americans
and others across the globe. Even with democrats controlling both the House and
the Senate, George W Bush has out maneuvered them and the terrorists in Iraq.
Radio
talk show host Rush Limbaugh had a brief discussion with a caller. Basically,
the democrats were called out for their fraud and deceit in their portrayal of
the war on terror in Iraq. The democrats, true to liberal form, can not argue
the truth of any matter. So, they instead try to destroy the messenger. Much as
Hillary and Bill Clinton destroyed the reputations of the women that Bill had
sexually abused.
The owner of Clear Channel Radio that
hosts the Rush Limbaugh show has told democrat Harry Reid and the other 40 spineless
democrats that signed a letter to stuff it. Mark P Mays, president,
wrote in part, "Mr. Limbaugh's comments have stirred a lot of emotion, and
I have carefully read the transcript in question. Given Mr. Limbaugh's history
of support for our soldiers, it would be unfair for me to assume his statements
were intended to personally indict combat soldiers simply because they didn't
share his own beliefs regarding the war in Iraq." He added, "I hope
that you understand and support my position that while I certainly do not agree
with all the views that are voiced on our stations, I will not condemn our talent
for exercising their right to voice them."
Yesterday,
Rush called on Harry Reid to resign for, among other things, lying to the American
people. TLG agrees. It's time for Reid to step down! Rush also invited Reid (twice)
to come on his show and discuss the matter. Reid did not respond and remained
hunkered down on the protective floor of the Senate. |
Just to
set the record straight, because the democrats will not, here is the verbatim
of the call that has caused the democrats to go into a frenzy:
Caller
(Mike): "...What's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers.
They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the
media."Limbaugh: "The phony soldiers."
Caller:
"The phony soldiers. If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to
serve. They want to be over in Iraq. They understand their sacrifice, and they're
willing to sacrifice for their country."
Limbaugh had this to say about
the lunacy of the left and their smear campaign:
"This is not just
the anatomy of a smear. There's much more going on with this than just smearing
me. There is an attempt, I think, as they have done throughout my career, to discredit
me."
"These people have had three, four days now to learn the
truth about this, and they no doubt know the truth, which doesn't matter. What
they are trying to do is flood a false story into the 'drive-by media' and have
that survive and suffice as the evidence and as the story of what I said when
it wasn't."
Rush Limbaugh, defending himself from the liberal media
onslaught, gave some good examples of phony soldiers:
Jesse MacBeth
- Falsely claimed to have participated in war crimes in Iraq and received a Purple
Heart, but in reality, he was discharged after only 44 days of service, never
placing a foot in Iraq.
Scott Thomas - Caught falsifying accounts
of war atrocities in The New Republic magazine.
Democrat representative
Jack Murtha
- Vietnam war veteran and strong anti-war politician who was ordered to give a
deposition in a defamation case against him for suggesting that U.S. Marines were
involved in "cold-blooded murder and war crimes" in Iraq.
Democrat
senate majority leader Harry
Reid announced that the spineless liberals had drafted a letter to the head
of Clear Channel radio attacking Limbaugh. Limbaugh referred to the segment with
an edited portion of it. Harry Reid's aides scrambled to regroup claiming Limbaugh
must have screwed up or he wouldn't have edited the segment. The edited portion
had absolutely nothing to do with the issue.
Probably a better choice of
words would have been "soldiers being phony." However, the democrats
are desperate. Like a drowning victim, they will thrash and grab on to anything
they can. They're going down for the third time in 2008 with Hillary and they
know it.
