AP Tries to Ramp Up Global Warming Hysteria
Ron Gettelfinger, president of the United Auto WorkersThe Associated Press' (junk) Science Writer Seth Borenstein wrote an article entitled "Obama Left with Little Time to Curb Global Warming." In it, Borenstein wrote that global warming is a "ticking time bomb."

Firstly, the title implies that Obama has some power over the planet's climate. He doesn't. Obama doesn't even understand economics, let alone science of any kind. Secondly, The climate has actually cooled over the last ten years.

As a matter of fact, David Deming, a geology professor at the University of Oklahoma, took issue with the article. Deming says that the mean (average) temperature of the Earth is the same as it was in 1980. Deming went on to ridicule Borenstein's claim that global warming is accelerating.

a retired nuclear scientist and chemistry professor from the University of Idaho, Michael Fox also disagreed with the AP fantasy. He found serious flaws in the study that was referenced in the article. Fox also said, "These kinds of temperatures cycle up and down and have been doing so for millions of years."

Let's see, millions of years...that would be long before humans were on the planet. If global warming is caused by human activity, then how could there have been periods of warming and cooling before humans existed?

Yet another scientist, James O'Brien, an emeritus professor at Florida State University also took issue with the AP's nonsense. O'Brien said, "Global climate change is occurring in many places in the world, but everything that's attributed to global warming, almost none of it is global warming."

O'Brien went on to say, "When the Arctic Ocean ice melts, it never raises sea level because floating ice is floating ice, because it's displacing water. When the ice melts, sea level actually goes down. I call it a fourth grade science experiment. Take a glass, put some ice in it. Put water in it. Mark level where water is. Let it met. After the ice melts, the sea level didn't go up in your glass of water. It's called the Archimedes Principle."

Now, where have we heard that before? Oh, yes, right here at TLG. You can read all the TLG articles on global warming.

So, why does the AP write this bunk; especially, now with record cold temperatures? The reason is political. Not only do they want to perpetuate the myth that feeds their liberal agenda, but they are bringing it out now in hopes of taking the public's attention away from the scandals that are about to engulf Obama.

Obama is in political trouble. Like it or not, he is involved in the Blagojevich mess. To add to his own misery, he has surrounded himself with absolute idiots and has-beens that will only make matters worse. Obama is coming to the realization that he is soon going to be to blame for a whole lot of promises that he can't keep. It's tough being the Messiah.
