It's
About Time
You may recall democrat William
Jefferson, a representative from Louisiana. He was video taped accepting a
$100,000 cash bribe during an FBI sting operation. $90,000 of it was found in
his freezer at his home. He keeps the Moola in the Coola. Nothing like hard, cold
cash.
He did a lot of other things, such as divert a Katrina relief convoy
to his home to pick up a few things. What, like $10,000 maybe?
After the
democrats took over congress, TLG
wanted to know why the democrats didn't force this scum bag to resign. We
all know the answer to that, because William Jefferson is a democrat, not a white
Republican. If you recall, it took the Republicans no time at all to get rid of
Randy "Duke" Cunningham.
William Jefferson pleads not guilty to
charges. That's no surprise. When has a democrat ever taken responsibility for
their action? No, what is really hilarious is his defense. Regarding
the $90,000 of the $100,000 that he was video taped taking as bribe money in an
FBI sting operation: He said that he obviously didn't bribe anyone as the money
was in his freezer wrapped in aluminum foil in $10,000 increments. That's
his defense. He kept the money. So, he confirms what we all know, that he is a
thief. What he also confirmed is that he is an idiot. William Jefferson
should know that he has a right to remain silent. He should exercise that right.
However, knowing he is an idiot will make it that much easier to put the self-confessed
thief in prison. Update 08/05/2009 It took two years,
but William Jefferson was convicted on 11 of the 16 counts against him. The trial
lasted eight weeks and it took jurors five days to sort out the mess, but they
got it right; Jefferson is guilty. For unknown reasons, the judge, T.S.
Ellis III, allowed Jefferson to remain free until his sentencing on October 30.
OF course, Jefferson's attorney says that he is going to appeal, but it's pretty
hard to get around the fact that they have the crime on video tape, Jefferson
diverted a hurricane relief convoy to his home to pick up $10,000 from his freezer;
where he left the remaining $90,000. Stupid is as stupid does. Good bye,
Jefferson. |
Well, the US Justice Department had waited
long enough. After raiding his congressional office last year, the first time
that had been done in history, congress was upset saying the separation of powers
had been breeched. The mountains of evidence they collected are still locked up
by a judge. Yet, Jefferson was so dirty, the feds still had enough evidence to
indict him on 16 felony counts that could land the stealing liberal in prison
for 250 years.
After the indictment, the Republican minority in the House
are referring this matter to the House Ethics committee which is run by the likes
of Ted "Chappaquiddick"
Kennedy. The committee could move to have Jefferson expelled from the House. Mary
Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.
Of course, Jefferson claims
he is innocent. He'll have a lot of company when he goes to prison. In the meantime,
you may want to ask your local democrat in the House what they are doing about
it. After all, Jefferson was stealing your money. Aren't exorbitant taxes enough
for the democrats?

the way, democrat Nancy Pelosi wants to appoint Jefferson to the Homeland Security
panel.
